Panama Canal Transit Announcement

Emily Grace is now ready to go

Our little ship will be going through the Panama Canal this coming weekend. There is a live web camera on several positions along the canal.

We should be gong through the Gatun locks on Saturday (2-13) between 6 PM and 9 PM. But since it will be dark, you may not be able to see us on the camera.

The key one is at the Miraflores Lock. The website is;

We should be going through that one on Sunday (2-14) between 9AM and 3PM. If anyone is bored on Valentines Day, we would love a picture of our boat in the canal.

In any event, I hope this post finds you well and living your dreams.

The Masten family in Ledyard saw you come through the Miraflores Lock. We have 4 screen shots to send you however, we don't have a current email. Tell Emily that Sarah says hi! Best wishes for a safe journey!

Hi Crew of the Emily Grace,
We believe we saw you go thru today around 12:15. We have pictures!! Do you have an email address where we can forward them? Sounds like a trip of a life time. Been following you since you left.

Leslie can you give Diane Albanse a phone call. If you can e-mail them to her, she can forward them to me. She was our old neighbor and lives at 28 Chriswood Trace in Ledyard.

Thanks a bunch!

Through the canal safely and resting in the Pacific Ocean.

Hello to the crew of Emily Grace,

I just found your blog and find it fascinating to read! It has taken me a week to catch up to your most recent entry. Now that I am all current it will be easier to follow along. I love all the pictures and providing info about the diffent places you visit is interesting and very helpful. What a wonderful opportunity for Emily to learn about so many cultures at such an impressionable age. I look forward to hearing more about your travels. Travel safe!
